I’ve grown to really like Gaia GPS, but the distances and elevation gains it gives me are way off. Ex. It spits out the Fimmvorduhals trail (just following the extablished route) as 16mi and 5kft elevation gain. AllTrails and CalTopo both have them about at 15mi and 3kft. So I took the extreme step of performing a full restore to one of the devices (iPhone) from a backup/time when GaiaGps was working for me. Much to my dismay but not surprise, the sync still fails. TopoMaps+ by Glacier Peak studios (watch out–there are a few other similarly-named apps on the App Store) has a nicer-looking user interface, but not as many layers as Gaia.
